Antaraprerana 2019

Antaraprerana - 2019 is a flagship, in-house annual Business Plan competition jointly organized by the KLS IMER & EDII, Ahmedabad. The event was inaugurated on 28th May 2019, by Mr. Sujit Hukkerikar, founder, ADIS technologies, housed in incubation centre of Sand Box startups at KLS IMER, Belagavi.

The chief guest in his inaugural address explained the opportunities and challenges for startups in the present economic scenario. He also told the students that they have to exploit the opportunities available for startups in India. Mr. Amrut Patil from sand box startups, Hubli was the guest of honour. He asked the students to prepare feasible business plans which can be implemented with the support of the incubation centre set up at the institute by Sand Box startup of Deshpande foundation.

Dr. Poornima Charantimath, Professor and event co-ordinator welcomed the gathering and spoke about the objectives and the modalities of the event. Dr. Atul R. Deshpande, Director of the institute presided over the function. In his presidential address the director suggested the students to develop entrepreneurial mindset which is the need of the hour.

Antaraprerana 2018

Antaraprerana - 2018 is a flagship, in-house annual Business Plan competition jointly organized by the KLS Institute of Management Education and Research Belagavi and Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad. The objective of this event is to promote entrepreneurial spirit among the student community by encouraging students to prepare business plan, which they can realize in coming future, by considering all aspects involved in creating a new business or rebuilding the existing one. The competition comprised of three rounds: Pitching; Presentation of Business Plan; Prototype presentation.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. D. Nanjappa, Senior Scientist from Defense Food Research Laboratory (DFRL) Mysore on 6th June 2018. Mr. Rahul Uppin, entrepreneur, promoter of Uppin Beauty Shops, and Alumnus of the institute was guest of honour. The chief guest in his inaugural address explained the role of DFRL in promoting Research and Development in the area of food processing sector. He said the mission of DFRL is Development of convenience and Ready-to-Eat (RTE) food products, implementation of packaging systems and processing of food, testing and evaluation of food. He called the students to visit DFRL, Mysore to identify the various opportunities available in food processing sector and use the appropriate technology available at DFRL to support their entrepreneurial venture. Mr. Rahul Uppin asked the students to prepare original and feasible business plan and implement it with the support of institute, so that they can become job providers rather than job seekers.

Chiniwar, Director of the institute presided over the function. Mr. Yashaswi Nag, Project Officer, EDII proposed Vote of Thanks. The students enrolled for One Year Diploma in Entrepreneurship & Business Management of EDII presented the business plan. The feedback was given by the Judges. Attractive cash prizes and certificates were given to the winners by the Institute and all the participants were given participation certificates.

Antaraprerana is a flagship annual Business Plan competition of the KLS Institute of Management Education and Research, Belagavi since last ten years. The event was organized on 6th June 2017 by KLS IMER in association with EDII, Ahmedabad and Sand Box Start-ups of Deshpande Foundation. The objective of this event was to promote entrepreneurial spirit among the student community by encouraging students to prepare business plan, which they can realize in coming future, by considering all aspects involved in creating a new business or rebuilding the existing one. The competition comprises of three rounds: Pitching; Presentation of Business Plan; Prototype presentation.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Nagaraj Prakasam, Mentor India Angel Network, who was the chief guest. The chief guest in his inaugural address called the students to identify the problems in the society and look them as business opportunities and find innovative solutions with entrepreneurial mind set. He also asked the students to prepare original business plan to bring the socio-economic transformation to realize the Make in India dreams of our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mr. C. M. Patil, Chief executive, Sandbox startups of Deshpande foundation was the guest of honour. In his address Mr. C. M. Patil asked the students to prepare feasible business plans which can be implemented with the support of the incubation centre set up at the institute by Deshpande foundation. He also said KLS IMER is one of the few business schools, which has the incubation centre to make the ideas into reality. Mr. Rajendra Belgaumkar, Chairman, Governing Council, KLS IMER, presided over the function. In his presidential address he called the students to develop entrepreneurial mindset which is the need of the hour.

Ms. Pooja Pai, Student coordinator proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Nagaraj Prakasam, Mr. C. M. Patil, Mr. Surendra Dixit from Oust lab and Mr. Yashaswi Nag, Project officer, EDII, were the Judges for the B-plan competition. The judges gave valuable feed back to the participants. Mr. Sanjay Deshpande introduced the guests, Ms. Sonal Revankar presented flowers and mementos to the guests, Ms. Sanmati Bidikar & Ms. Shraddha Suryawanshi were the master of Ceremony. Twelve teams participated in the competition.

Attractive cash prizes were given to the winners and all the participants were given participation certificates.

Mr. Anand in his inaugural address briefed about the various government schemes available for startups for promoting entrepreneurship. He also asked the students to prepare original business plan to bring the socio – economic transformation to realize the Make in India dreams of our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In his presidential remarks Mr. Rajendra Belgaumkar asked the students to prepare feasible business plans which can be implemented with the support of the institute.
